Born in Oklahoma and raised in East Texas, Norton R. Nowlin took A.A., B.A., and M.A. degrees from Tyler Junior College and the University of Texas at Tyler. Mr. Nowlin has also completed on year of law school at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, in San Diego, California, and an ABA-approved Advanced Paralegal Certification from Edmonds Community College, in Lynnwood, Washington. In addition to his academic achievements, Mr. Nowlin is a certified educator with a Texas Teacher Certification from the University of Texas at Tyler, and has seven years of classroom teaching experience, and over eight years of experience as a professional paralegal. Since he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1977, Mr. Nowlin has written, both, prose and poetry which has been widely published in book form and, since the year 2000, on the Internet. With over a hundred published essays to his credit, several short stories, and a novella, Norton R. Nowlin continues to write essays on a wide variety of interdisciplinary issues, and is currently striving to produce a best-selling novel. Norton R. Nowlin resides in Northern Virginia with his wife, the writer and renown math and physics tutor, Diane C. Nowlin, and their two very intelligent cats.
